Mechanical Abilities

Lying under the sheet metal of the sedan version of the Mazda3 is a SKYACTIV®1-G 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that revs out 186 horsepower and 186 lb.-ft. of torque. When you pair this engine with its SKYACTIV®1-Drive 6-speed automatic transmission, you’ll have a 26/35 MPG city/hwy2 fuel economy that will have you saying goodbye to those frequent visits to the pump. Rather, you’ll be doing a lot more cruising down Route 16 and saving your hard-earned cash for all the adventures you’ll be taking with the Mazda3. You’ll have standard FWD, which is perfectly able to get you to where you’re heading in a safe manner, but for more grip on any wet, slushy, or gravel-filled roads, spring for the available i-ACTIV®3 AWD system. And if you thought you would have to forfeit efficiency if you upgrade to this system, you’d be surprised because you’ll still be receiving 25/33 MPG city/hwy2!


Safety

The 2019 Mazda3 isn’t just powerful, it’ll also keep you safe as you cruise. When you have to come to a sudden stop, Brake Assist will alert you on your dashboard with an audible icon and also apply more pressure to your brake to prevent a front-end collision. You’ll have available Lane-keep Assist4 to monitor that you’re staying in your correct path and if you begin the deviate, it will alert you as well as gently steer you back to the center if no action is taken. When you’re exiting your driveway in the morning for work, the Rearview Camera5 will come on and show you a picture of the area behind you on your infotainment system so you can back out easily every time. Lastly, if any accidents were to occur, the advanced full front airbags6 and side-impact air curtains6 will deploy and help to minimize injuries to everyone onboard.
