Performance

Thanks to the available SKYACTIV®-G 2.5L Dynamic Pressure Turbo 4-cylinder engine, you'll be able to reach new levels of excitement with up to 250 horsepower and 320 lb.-ft. of torque. The 2024 CR-V only has a 1.5L turbocharged powertrain, which tops off at 190 horsepower¹ and 179 lb.-ft. of torque². If you desire AWD, you'll be glad to know that the Mazda model comes standard with this drivetrain, while the Honda SUV has it on select trim levels. And when it comes to handling variation, the Mazda CX-5 comes out on top with its 6-speed automatic transmission that comes with manual shift and Sport mode. As for the CR-V, it just has a Continuously Variable Transmission.

Interior

When you hop into the cabins of the 2024 Mazda CX-5 and the 2024 Honda CR-V, you'll see how the former dominates the latter. For starters, the dual-zone automatic climate control is standard across the board, so you won't have to worry about being without it. While the CR-V does have this feature, it's only on upgradable editions. In the same instance, the Mazda SUV comes standard with heated front seats while you'd have to spring for this luxury on certain versions of the Honda model. For impeccable clarity, the Mazda CX-5 has a standard 10.25-inch touchscreen and an available 10-speaker setup. You might find yourself a little less enthused when driving around Augusta with the Honda CR-V, because its standard 7.0-inch display and optional 8-speaker arrangement don't offer the same effect.
